BMGCA Holiday Decoration Contest


The BMGCA is holding their annual Holiday Decoration Contest and we are looking for your nominations!

Nominate your favourite home by sending an email with the address to mship@bmgcakanata.ca 

Nominate yourself and/or your neighbour by December 18th online. All nominations must be for addresses within Briarbrook, Brookside & Morgan's Grant.

BMGCA FURNITURE DONATION EVENT With MATTHEW HOUSE Ottawa.

SATURDAY FEBRUARY 8TH, 9:00 AM - 2:30 PM.

 

Location: Matthew House Ottawa located at: 340 Legget Dr. Door 53.

 

The BMGCA in partnership with Matthew House Ottawa in the Kanata North Tech Park is organizing a Furniture Donation Event! Matthew House helps newcomers and low-income families in Ottawa turn their house into a home. Your donation of furniture and household items will change lives!

 

Items in need:

- Bed Frames

- Sofas/Loveseats

- Household items (e.g., dishes, cups, cutlery, etc.)

Are you looking for a fun volunteer role helping out our community? The BMGCA is presently seeking a Volunteer Coordinator to work side by side with our Director of Events.

The ideal candidate can maintain lists, recruit volunteers and approve volunteer hours for high school students.

  • Meet with Director of Events on a regular basis to work collaboratively

BMGCA's Community Garage Sale - Saturday June 1st, 2024.

 

Join the Kanata wide Garage Sale! Set up at home or join a community hub to sell your items.

In collaboration with École Grande Ourse, the BMGCA invites you to join the community hub at the school (1385 Halton Terrace). There is a $5 fee to have a spot with table in the hub, please email events@bmgcakanata.ca before May 26th to hold your spot and to reserve a table.

Money raised will be donated to the Kanata Food Cupboard! Nonperishable food will be accepted on site!

BMGCA's Cleaning the Capital - Saturday April 20th, 2024.

BMGCA Cleaning the Capital – Saturday April 20th, 2024 (Rain Date on Sunday, April 21st)

Please join forces with your neighbours to participate in the Briarbrook Brookside Morgan's Grant community "Cleaning the Capital" event!  After our long Ottawa winter, everyone can get involved in cleaning our community in time to enjoy the great outdoors free of unwanted trash and garbage!

Here is what you need:

Garbage bags and gloves will be provided at the meeting locations below while supplies last. In addition, BMGCA board members and volunteers will be on hand to sign community volunteer forms for local students. A BMGCA volunteer will be at these locations from 10:00am to 11:00:

– WC Bowes Park (Klondike entrance)

- Morgan's Grant Woods (50 Flamborough Way)

- Brookshire Park (1035 Klondike Rd)
